Living Like a Roman for a Few Days

The Conference Jay was speaking at offered to provide five nights accommodations in Rome.  We really didn't know what this would be until we arrived, we met the meeting coordinator at mid-day on Saturday at the top of the Spanish Steps.  He led us 100 yards down the Via Gregoriana and opened the door to a classic Italian apartment building.  We were two doors down the street from the headquarters and home of the fashion designer Valentino. A big bedroom, bath, huge living room and small kitchen in a very nice residential neighborhood, allowing us to live like a local for a few nights.
