Ferrari

I was looking for someplace between Venice and Rome for a couple of nights to round out the agenda,  I recognized Modena as the home of Balsamic Vinegar.  When I did a little research I discovered that it is also home to Ferrari, Maserati and Pagani.  Lamborghini was there at one time, but it now owned by Audi.  Ferrari has two museums, the company was founded in Modena and the history museum is on the site of the original family business.  It is an amazing collection, and a film of the history of Ferrari plays for about 10 minutes each hour on the walls around the main exhibition area.  The Factory moved to Maranello before World War II, the second part of the museum is at the factory and features Ferrari racing history.  There is a shuttle bus available between the two sites that worked just wonderful.  They will even let you sit briefly in a Ferrari and they take your picture, if you like the picture you can buy it for 15-Euros, I really liked the picture.
